# Hydra Agent

Connect your real MT5 accounts to Live Analytics

Hydra Agent is a small Windows tray application that connects your MetaTrader 5 (MT5) terminals with Real accounts to Hydra Vision. A Subscription is required.

Once it is running, it reads your account details, open positions and trade history from MT5, along with the Hydra Vision EA's grid activity, setfiles, settings fingerprints (Strategy Print and Tuning Print) and notifications. It uploads them to the Hydra Vision cloud, so your dashboards stay up to date without you doing anything.

Hydra Agent never places, changes or closes a trade itself. When you send a command to a chart from **Controls** on the Agents page, including a close you confirm there, Hydra Agent passes it to the Hydra Vision EA on that chart and reports the EA's answer back. The EA decides whether to carry the command out.

From version 3.0.21 Hydra Agent also powers the **Agents** page: live status of each VPS and chart, alerts when something stops, checks, logs on request and the activity record. See The Agents page.

Data is only sent for real accounts. On a demo or contest account the agent stays running but sends nothing.
