# Hydra Vision's tooling stack

Running automation successfully requires a carefully calibrated set of tools with a supporting EA integrated data pipeline.

Designing a well-thought-out, asset-calibrated configuration for automated trading is one of the most critical activities for any trader serious about automation. To do this successfully, detailed knowledge about both the EA and the target asset is foundational.

Whilst we cannot teach you about every asset, we can provide you with the technical knowledge about Hydra Vision and the tooling you will use to build robust, risk-adjusted configurations.

The traditional on-terminal processes are, by technical proximity, the easiest place to configure and review performance. However, these are limited, not aware of exactly what the EA is doing and why, and generally constrained to the MT5 terminal being used. This cycle often leads traders into taking shortcuts, using mass optimisation testing techniques to find 'the perfect configuration', and ultimately auto-trading with no real understanding of EA performance.
