# SmartEntry

SmartEntry decides when Hydra Vision opens a position. It makes two different decisions, and each has its own settings.

**New grids (the Anchor).** When a side has no open positions, SmartEntry decides whether a new grid may start. The anchor must pass every check that is switched on: the MA cross, the Market Regime, and the anchor vetoes (such as Anchor Waterfall Protection and the Extreme DD Veto). These checks only apply to new grids. They never block a re-entry into a grid that is already open.

**Re-entries (adding to an open grid).** SmartEntry only decides re-entries when the grid uses Dynamic re-entry, and only beyond the Static Zone. Static positions sit on the fixed step. Beyond the Static Zone, price must first move the re-entry spacing past the last rung. Then three re-entry signals (Micro Bounce, Momentum Shift and Range Breakout) vote. The re-entry opens when enough of them have fired recently for the grid's current Risk Zone (Green, Yellow or Red).
