# Hydra Vision v6.50

Released 2 October 2026 (launch release)

#### Trading <a href="#id-619eb71b-7d7e-4690-9780-d9be58a0382b" id="id-619eb71b-7d7e-4690-9780-d9be58a0382b"></a>

* **PCL strategies:** Hunter (defensive; closes grids down hardest), Bounce (middle ground), Multi-Trail (lenient, allows larger grids) and Frontier (a bridge from traditional grid trading). Whole-grid PCL is also available.
* **SmartEntry 3.0:** signal-based anchors and re-entries, with selectable re-entry spacing, market-regime and context filters, and exhaustion and extension vetoes.
* **Trading sessions:** optionally limit new grids to the Asian, London and New York sessions (times are adjustable).
* **Market cooldown:** an optional delay before new entries, on a timeframe you choose.
* **Commission rate is learned automatically** from your trades, so there is no commission amount to enter.

#### Safety <a href="#id-850466da-12a5-4be6-9345-8563f51fd8e1" id="id-850466da-12a5-4be6-9345-8563f51fd8e1"></a>

* **Risk stops:** a maximum-loss stop and a step-gap stop close a grid when your limits are reached.
* **Spread protection:** no new positions while the spread is above your Max Spread setting.
* **Graceful Stop Mode:** if your licence lapses, no new grids or injection positions are opened, and open grids are managed until they close. The EA then removes itself from the chart, and you're notified. Trading resumes automatically if your subscription is renewed in the meantime.
* **On-chart status banner:** shows when a chart is suspended, winding down or stopped, and why.
* **Survives restarts:** grid state, run mode and any graceful stop carry across terminal and VPS restarts.

#### Control <a href="#e93e3d5d-f858-4a6f-b302-f7da7a1ecf50" id="e93e3d5d-f858-4a6f-b302-f7da7a1ecf50"></a>

* **Command input:** run modes from the setfile (`suspend`, `resume`, `entries off`/`on`, `buy`/`sell off`/`on`, `graceful-stop`), kept across restarts.
* **Chart Control** *(when enabled on your account)*: suspend, resume and check a chart from the portal, with confirmation from the terminal.

#### Portal integration *(needs HydraAgent on a live account)* <a href="#c2b7a45b-12d3-4732-b13c-cc5bf25b7f79" id="c2b7a45b-12d3-4732-b13c-cc5bf25b7f79"></a>

* **Live notifications:** risk alerts and trading-stopped alerts in your portal. If a high-priority alert can't be delivered first time, it's retried automatically.
* **Configuration Timelines** *(when Chart Configs is enabled)*: the settings each chart ran, and when.

#### Backtesting <a href="#ad049f8b-0dd1-4656-aa74-7ee9f282bddd" id="ad049f8b-0dd1-4656-aa74-7ee9f282bddd"></a>

* **Backtest report export (v3.1):** one JSON file per test run, written to your MT5 Common Files folder. Upload it in the portal to compare a backtest with your live trading over the same dates.
* **Backtest token:** generate it once from a licensed chart; the Strategy Tester then picks it up automatically.

#### Licensing and requirements <a href="#id-98451f77-dda2-44fd-ba94-8cf0f05841af" id="id-98451f77-dda2-44fd-ba94-8cf0f05841af"></a>

* **Licensing:** signed and encrypted licence checks, at least once a day.
* **Free trial:** 14 days, on demo accounts and for backtesting. A trial licence won't trade a live account (it can only generate a Backtest Token there). Live trading needs a subscription.
* **Account type:** MetaTrader 5 on a **hedging-mode account**. The EA will not run on netting accounts.
* **HydraAgent** is optional for trading. It's needed for portal analytics, notifications, Chart Control and Configuration Timelines.

**Not available in v6.5:** hedge / dual grid trading and Free Trade.
